To those who are wondering, this is a flattened map of the Milky Way I created in Illustrator to aid me with my book. :) It’s mean to help me give accurate measurements of distance and time between places, mark new places, and give me a better feel for the scope of my book.
When I want to say, “Oh they want to this planet in this region”, and write down technical details, I can. For example, the Imperial System is “21.82K126.2D3.31D” which is app. 21,820 Light Years from the Galactic Center, 26.2 Degrees from the Galactic Top Meridian, and 3.31 Degrees from the Galactic Meridian which is about 10.8 Light Years from the Aether System. This makes things much easier ^.^
I uploaded the hi res of the milky way galaxy to my flickr if you’d like to use it. If you want my measurements and basically the whole AI file to this galaxy, just shoot me a message or tweet me
